BPO Non voice Process Associate
I am a candidate chosen through the campus placement for BPO NON-VOICE, wherein I received the offer letter on 29 May. I feel sorry to inform you about the frustrating and sad experience I had with Infosys, Mysore during the induction program held on 6 June.
Although I had an offer with a company which offered me better pay and better job I still chose INFOSYS because it was my dream company. Today I repent on my decision having chosen to work with Infosys who has given me nothing but just a whole bunch of frustration.
We all are well versed with Indian system wherein all govt. recognized Ids are issued with a minimum time period of 20 days, having known this fact how much do the company expect us to carry the govt. recognized doc. within 6 days.
Being my dream company I Didn’t want to lose the offer hence I accepted the offer and reported to Mysore on 6 June for induction and training.
As there were incomplete details provided by the company regarding documents, I carried my college id which is valid throughout 2010, bmtc student bus pass valid till june2010, 6 semester examination hallticket duly stamped and signed by the concerned authorities, what else the company expect me to do and make arrangements within 6 days.
I feel sorry to say but Infosys has failed in assisting and guiding the candidates especially in queries regarding id proofs.
Moreover, when we were allowed to enter the campus area we were given some print out pages which stated that the company will not accept any college ids and travelling passes. I really don’t understand the purpose. Was the company doing us the favor by giving jobs?? Or this is the way the company wants to show off its big name that has got a good market value which it’s not worth of.
Giving print out pages at last moment has just made me realize that the company thinks it’s doing a big favor by granting us the jobs, its only we who are running behind the Infosys and that Infosys actually do not value our purpose of working with them.
Travelling to Mysore may be an easy job but we and our parents know the actual pain in finding the location of Infosys in Mysore, getting a day’s stay and again returning back to Bangalore.
It’s been one of the shameful experiences individually and has ultimately resulted in fall of the company’s image as well.
Parents at the gate leave us in the campus thinking we will b well assisted and the queries will be paid attention and taken care of but, it’s shocking that

I have been working at Infosys since 3 years and I believe its one of the worst companies anyone can be in. Stress is too much. Managers are not at all motivational or co-operative. You do 100 good things they will uphold your 1 bad thing. No promotions, no onsite, no salary hike, no motivation, no rest. A real hell of IT. Too much of slogging. Over that very poor communication skills. They train you in one stream, put you in project of different stream and ask you to deliver your module without training or any help under strict deadline. Higher authority take the credit for appreciation for your work and you would be blamed for any undesirable issue. Totally hell work culture. I personally feel its more or less equal to working at construction sites for less wages.

This is fresher driven company. In the ratio of 1:10/15 fresher will be provided to experience person and demanded the delivery. All most all non technical/Non engineers (MBA) will be managers who will not try to understand anything apart from pleasing clients and upper managers. No value for your value addition but all nonsense criteria’s will be need for promotions. You have to pass 2 exams a years. Will force and demand you to work late nights and early morning. If you want to balance work and family life never join this company. Salary hike in us will be $20-$50 per year. You will get good rating and up to $100 hike per year if you spend 12-16 hrs a day whole year. For any small things like stationary or print more than 10 pages you will need to take approvals from managers.
I will say it is company for fresher, comes take brand name behind and move. For experience it is nothing more than nightmare. Almost 20-30 % weekend it will be expected to work. If there is no option at all one can look into this company as job security is better, if you have bit technical knowledge then you will never be kicked out as company does not have sufficient skill technical pool.
If you are technical sound and agree to work on low salaries then remember to say no for all nonsense requests and I assure no one can do anything for you as most of managers are nontechnical and apart from threatening they do not have any rights. Be careful before joining as it is looks very good from outside but worst inside.

A lot of differentiation between an AE and a SE.Once into the project, the work done is almost same by both but when it comes to salary ...:( things are too bad.The AE's are paid too less as compared to SE's and even after a year there is no hike in salary.
So,those into good projects ..can stay here for some good experience..!!!

Its good to be in infosys one thing i found here is they are training people in one stream and forcing them to work in unknown stream. Facilities are fine and good.

Good Company. Carrer Growth may be slow. Strict in transfers. Good Facilities will be there. We have to appreciate even in this recession maintaining the company with profits with out cutting the jobs. By this the employee will feel good.

1. Infosys is not sharing it's huge financial gains with it's employees.
2. More focus on quantity than quality in terms of workforce.
3. Promotion process too based on the time spent in org rather than merit based....
I've now left Infosys and joined a new company....!

Their fresher training is good. But ironically, it's not assured that you will be asked to work in same technology you are trained. I know people who got training in JAVA for 3 months and placed in C++ project. But I guess that is how it is with most of the companies. :-)
Also there won't be any choice for you to select your work location. You might be posted any where in India and you can't ask for a transfer.

Working at Infosys is not that bad at all. I worked for Infosys for 5 years now and I feel it has good work culture. But off late the people being recruited are of low quality and innovation is not given any importance.

This is one of the worst companies, I have ever worked. The work environment is very bad. Also the salaries are terribly low. Most of my co-workers have quit because of bad work culture. There are some managers who think it is their fathers company. I would recommend not to join this company. Major factors for not joining this company 1. Salaries are low 2. Bad Work Culture 3. No Work/Life Balance 4. No Career growth - Its almost stagnant 5. People don't respect co-workers 6. This company is driven by freshers
